Presentation of a New Course ‘Lettering’ at the National School of Calligraphy

On the 17th of January, 2016 at 14:00 the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy will hold a master class called Lettering. This event is connected with the opening of a new course in lettering at the National School of Calligraphy in March 2016. We invite all creative people interested in this style, as well as professionals who would like to use handwritten lettering in their works.

The master class will be conducted by Artyom Lebedev, a teacher of the School of Calligraphy, a member of the National Union of Calligraphers, and a permanent member of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy.

In his professional work, skillfully using the font technique, Artyom creates fonts for advertizing slogans, greeting cards, and other printed products. Since 2005 he has been cooperating with many publishing houses of Moscow.

During the master class you will learn about the difference between lettering and calligraphy, the anatomy of letters, and the elements which help to create thematic letterings. Under the guidance of the master you will draw a thematic greeting font composition.

All those willing to continue their training in one of the most popular and demanded courses in lettering will be able to enroll in the course after the master class.
